struck out on the steps of the Ennis Courthouse

Were my intentions met? Yes. I think the knitting was the right form for the intervention because it is a personal act, it is often seen as a women’s activity and because of this it can be a very clear counterbalance to the hierarchy of the court system. The texture of the strands of yarn echo the dialogical process very much of what was asked of fellow practitioners i.e. to share and enter into a personal experience with me the artist of a public event.
