tennis ball, ag teacht i dtír

It wasn’t enough to stand on the edge and put the dress into the sea. It was a beginning. I waited, and then came back a few days later and took the photograph – tennis ball, ag teacht i dtír (landed). I called it this as this is how it was presented to me – from the sea. This is a description of the two edges I live between, one on my side and my edge is related to the other – edge of the world I live in. It is the same edge.

These works tennis ball, ag teacht i dtír and dress, soaked in luxury stand facing each other.

This work was commissioned by Ealaíon ar Oileáin, and exhibited in a solo show in Aras Eanna 2010.
