summones to attend court: 4 April, 2014, Ennis District Court

An intervention – empathy and error began as an invitation to friends and acquaintances via email to be present with me as Citizen Artist, as I represented myself in Ennis District Courthouse on the 4th of April, 2014. In the months before I had received a summons for an unpaid traffic fine, which I had not, received. The act of knitting was to be used so that I could record the duration of presence of those in attendance with me where an object would be made. Invitees were also asked to offer something in response to the slogan “get the point, not the points”. As such this was an attempt at intervening in a rigid and controlling social environment with solidarity and empathy.
