Responding to Durrow

Sweet Bags from “Tommy’s” and “Woods” local shops, were collected. The bags provided a canvas for explorations on texture found in the town of Durrow. The transformed bags transformed were sold to the public throught the same shops as artworks with sweets inside them.This was one of 4 playful public artworks made for the Durrow Art’s Festival, to explore communication between the school children and their community. Supported by The Durrow Tricentinial Committee and Laois Arts Office, Artist in Schools scheme.
